So London just got their new mayor. A floppy haired upper-class dude by the name of Boris Johnson. Now, i think the only reason he won this election is because the last mayor, Ken Livingstone had become so unpopular. So basically, I think anyone with a high enough profile could have won! Ken was becoming quite a tyrant.
He introduced the congestion charge which now costs £10 DAILY to drive into central london from 7am-7pm Mon-Fri, the 4X4s were to pay £25 (because they damaged the environ). Daily oh. Worst of all it did nothing for congestion and the money earned didnt even go into improving public transport like he promised. Instead he used to create campaign after campaign. Posters, leaftlets everywhere on something new.
But I must say that english elections are nothing like their cousins across the pond. The most 'damaging' thing to come out of this elections was that Mr Ken had 5 children by 3 different women. LOL... shock shock horror horror. LMAO.
Anyway, Mr Johnson put on this Africa Day to mark everything black- nice one i think! Never heard of it before now but it sounded interesting so I put up a facebook event and invited the world.
Now, if you are in London and interested in attending, its at Trafalgar Square on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th. From 1pm to 8pm.

Usher and Black Hate.
Okay, before you get worried, this blog wont be full of youtube videos. But kai, i love the embed facility i cant lie.
Update: I got my mummy's phone today. Chai, wasnt cheap. Lucky woman! I havent opened the box ... had such a long day and Im exhausted. But it looks blinging from the box. I might not open it you know..... just wrap it and fedex. Thanks for all your comments.
Back to business, loving this new song by Usher. Its off his new album and i think its hot. The video isnt there, just the song! Meanwhile I heard that Usher has filed for seperation from Tameka. Na waoooooo. Will that be Mariah and Nick in 9 months?
Then there is this clip from a radio show in London. Shocking stuff coming from the lips of a self-hating but albeit BLACK MAN. He has embarrased us all.
I should add though for the benefit of those who dont know, the radio hostess is called Vanessa Feltz, she is about 50, pretty white woman but overweight. She had a very public divorce followed by a breakdown on celebrity Big Brother. She is now dating a younger, black NIGERIAN-BRITISH man who is also a well known UK urban artiste.

Na who dey phone?
Im getting my mummy a new phone for her birthday...
Ive always been the one to sort her out electronically... now whenever she has a problem with a phone, everyone looks at me.
I even got her her first mobile. Wayyyyy back... and taught her how to text. Now she's a text addict and uses all those shorthand like 'takia!'....
Once she called me at work to troubleshoot her phone.
'Mama, how do i watch those videos you recorded of my grandkids again....?'
'Mummy you do so so and so.....'
I tried to explain it to my colleagues but they were like 'So?'
Im like, 'But she's in NIGERIAAAAAAAAAA'
Anyways, I love my mummy. She's young and funky and my best friend... and i want to get her something blinging. I got her the LG chocolate in white when it was brand new a year or so ago.
So, what do you think?
NOKIA 7900 PRISM

My Favorite Blue.....
Pen.
I use it when im studying for exams, I use it when im writing letters to my mummy
It a blue pen, but the ink is black.
Nice ink too.
And because the pen is made from cheap plastic, it is very light to write with.
Nice for jotting.
I have loads of these pens... and the best thing is that they are free!
Where can you get these pens?
Your nearest Barclays branch. Seriously... they're great! LOL
